GLAD (Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders) is New England's leading legal rights organization, dedicated to ending discrimination
based on sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression. Its New England Marriage Equality Campaign is dedicated
to the goal of marriage equality for same-sex couples in all six New England states by 2012. Using a strategic combination of
litigation, legislative advocacy, grassroots organizing, and public education, the campaign is working to ensure that all New
England couples and families have the rights, respect, and equality they deserve.
The Passim fundraiser was put together by Boston singer/songwriter Alastair Moock in conjunction with GLAD. The show will be
performed in the free-form, collaborative style of Moock's other recent fundraising concerts: 2008's Barackstock (which brought
in $5000 for the Obama Presidential Campaign) and 2009's Winter Warmer (which brought in $2000 for the United Way's Community
Support Fund).
